Rayan Mehta is a documentary photographer based out of New Delhi.
He studied journalism in Hyderabad, and then moved to Delhi to focus on photojournalism and documentary photography.
During the second wave of Covid-19, he joined the TYCIA Foundation, where he began documenting COVID-19 relief, vaccination drives, and started documenting stories of loss of breadwinners due to COVID-19 across hamlets of rural India. While India was in lockdown, he traversed across states of Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat. His work records the ground realities covering hope and help in a Covid-19 stricken India.
Mehta’s photography focuses on documenting social impact through a journalistic lens. His interest lies in stories of hope and strength of people and neglected environmental issues that affect human & animal life.
In his free time he likes working on commercial projects and works on avenues like Food, Fashion and Pet Photography.
